Workshop on the sustainable management of urban wildlife at Planýrka
29 October 2026 | 10.00–14.00 | Planýrka, meet at 10.00 at
the Královo Pole shopping centre
Are you interested in how to support biodiversity in the
city and look after nature in an environmentally friendly way? Come along to
the first practical workshop on the sustainable management of urban wilderness,
which will take place at Planýrka in Brno.
A city isn’t just concrete, roads and manicured parks. The
urban environment also includes places where nature flourishes spontaneously,
creating valuable havens for a wide range of plants and animals. What does the
term ‘urban wilderness’ actually mean, and how can we ourselves contribute to
its protection and development?
During this hands-on workshop, led by expert Vilém Jurek,
participants will learn about alternative models of nature conservation in the
centre of Brno and take part in specific activities that support biodiversity.
All you need to bring is some work clothes, a good mood and a willingness to
lend a hand.
Registration
Participation is free, but you must register in advance
using the form.
More information on the Facebook event page or on Instagram.
The workshop is organised in collaboration with the
organisations NESEHNUTÍ, Rezekvítek, the Faculty of Architecture at Brno
University of Technology and the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of
Technology, with the support of the Ministry of the Environment.
