My Dear Ada: an exhibition on artificial intelligence and the future of creativity, featuring prominent figures from FA BUT
From 23 October 2026 to 10 January 2027, the MeetFactory
Gallery in Prague will host the exhibition My Dear Ada, which explores the
relationships between art, technology and artificial intelligence. The project
draws on the legacy of mathematician Ada Lovelace, the author of the first
computer algorithm, and, through works of art and science, raises questions
about the creation, interpretation and future of images and texts in the age of
AI.
The exhibition has two links to FA BUT. One of the curators is Monika Mitášová, an
architectural historian and theorist who has been working at the faculty for
many years. Among the exhibiting artists is also Zdeňka Němcová Zedníčková,
Vice-Dean for International Relations at the Faculty of Architecture, whose
work was created in collaboration with AI proto-agents and straddles the
boundaries between art, architecture and technology.
The exhibition presents works by artists from various fields
of contemporary art, science and technology. Alongside historical references to
Ada Lovelace and Zdeněk Sýkora, it also includes contemporary projects working
with generative systems and the experimental software ‘Virtual Futurologist
A°D°A’. The curatorial concept emphasises the role of viewers and readers in
interpreting images and texts created by both human and artificial
intelligence.
The opening will take place on 22 October, and the
exhibition itself will run until 10 January 2027 at the MeetFactory Gallery in
Prague.
Further information about the exhibition can be found on the
MeetFactory website.
