FA BUT will take part in Researcher's Night: architecture as a means of communication
The Faculty of Architecture at BUT will once again be taking part in the Researcher's Night this year. On Friday 25
September, from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm, it will offer four stops showcasing
architecture as a tool for research, discovery and communication – ranging from
the transformation of cities and life in space to the language of emotions and
the Baroque landscape.
How are informal settlements changing? How can architects
design environments for life in space? What does the architecture of
exhibitions reveal to us about language and emotions? And how did the Baroque
communicate through its buildings?
The Researcher's Night programme at FA BUT will focus on these questions. Visitors can look
forward to four programme highlights:
- Addis Ababa and Kathmandu: A deliberately overlooked metamorphosis, or informal settlements without prejudice
- How is life in space designed?
- From Words to Emotions: How Our Communication Is Changing
- Baroque Architecture as a Means of Communication
The programme will combine lectures, exhibition
installations, guided tours and interactive activities. It is aimed at anyone
wishing to gain an insight into contemporary architectural research and
discover architecture in unexpected contexts. The individual parts of the
programme will take place in the Faculty of Architecture building and in the
Antarctic module in front of the faculty.
