Planýrka Summer School Will Connect a Community Programme with an Intensive Student Workshop
Planýrka Summer School is a summer series of events taking
place in the Planýrka area. It aims to support the local community, foster a
better understanding of the site and the relationships within it, and lay the
groundwork for an intensive student workshop at the turn of September and
October.
The programme will culminate in a student workshop held from
28 September to 2 October 2026, led by the Berlin-based Urban Catalyst together
with artist and researcher Tamara Spalajković (Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno
University of Technology). The summer series is conceived as an open process of
exploring the site, building connections, and sharing experiences with the
local community.
The First Gathering Takes Place on 25 June
The first event of Planýrka Summer School will be an
informal gathering, Sausages + Beer / Soft Drinks, taking place on Thursday, 25
June, from 4:30 p.m. The meeting point is in front of Bobycentrum. Participants
are welcome to bring something to grill and something to drink.
Planýrka Summer School builds on the research and teaching
activities connected with the site and forms part of the project “Planýrka: A
Place-Making Workshop and Presentation of Outputs”, led by Marek Hlavička and
Kateřina Singer. At the Faculty of Architecture, Brno University of Technology,
the project is carried out within the framework of support for research activities
in 2026. At the same time, it is one of the activities supported by the
internal FRP grant competition focused on artistic research in architecture and
urbanism, within which four projects were selected for 2026.
More information about the programme will also be gradually
published on Instagram @360_plus_lab.
