The 31st Bohuslav Fuchs Award at FA BUT
The Faculty of Architecture at BUT is preparing for the 31st annual Bohuslav Fuchs Award, a prestigious student
competition organized by the SOFA association. On June 4 and 5, a panel of
experts will once again convene at the faculty, and on Friday evening they will
announce the new award winners.
We cordially invite students, academics, and the general
public to visit the faculty and view the final student projects, which will be
exhibited directly in the school studios. Visitors will thus have a unique
opportunity to explore themes that resonate with contemporary architecture,
discover new approaches to design, and experience the environment in which a
new generation of architects is emerging.
Following the ceremonial announcement of the best projects
and studios, the program will continue with a more informal gathering at the
Archa space at the Faculty of Architecture, Brno University of Technology.
This year’s jury members include:
Kateřina Krebsová / Architect, researcher, and PhD candidate
at UMPRUM. She is currently on a research residency in Vienna and collaborates
with the Amulet studio.
Jakub Čevela / Architect and graduate of UMPRUM. He works
with the Brno-based collective Peer and contributes to the spatial identity of
the PAF Olomouc festival.
Tomáš Klanc / Architect and graduate of the Faculty of
Architecture at CTU in Prague. He leads the KLANC ARCHITEKTI studio and has
been teaching at the Faculty of Architecture at CTU since 2017.
Lenka Milerová / Architect and graduate of the Academy of
Fine Arts (AVU) and the Faculty of Architecture at CTU in Prague. In her
practice, she focuses primarily on renovations and smaller projects, while also
serving as an assistant at the AVU School of Architecture.
We look forward to seeing you!
