Exhibition RES URBANAE: Cities under (re)construction

We are opening the exhibition RES URBANAE: Cities under (re)construction, which provides a fascinating insight into the urban, architectural and functional transformations of three cities that have been affected by war in the past. Organised as part of the EU Project - Creative Europe programme, the exhibition represents the culmination of a three-year effort of the RES URBANAE project, which brought together three major universities - UBO Brest, TU Dresden and VUT Brno. On behalf of the Brno school, Prof. Helena Zemánková, Assoc. Ivo Boháč, their students and Mrs. Mgr. Dita Havlová.
The RES URBANAE project with the subtitle Cities under (re)construction explores and documents the transformations of three cities from the moment of their wartime destruction to the present:Brest, which was significantly damaged during the Second World War, Dresden, which shared a similar fate, and Brno, a city affected not only by wartime destruction but also by the Holocaust. The travelling exhibition, which has already had successful stops in Brest and Dresden, will now come to Brno, where our visitors will be able to explore the architectural and urban changes of Brest and Dresden. The exhibition starts in the corridor on the 2nd floor and continues to the third and fourth floors.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place with an opening ceremony attended by representatives of the partner universities on Tuesday, 2 April at 5:00 pm in the corridor on the 2nd floor. This will be followed by a short presentation of the exhibition with refreshments and a symbolic toast on the 3rd floor. All media representatives are cordially invited! The exhibition will be installed until the end of April.
In addition, another part of the exhibition, dedicated to the issues of Brno, the city's transformation and industrial architecture, will be presented in the Alfa arcade in the city centre. This part of the exhibition will be officially opened on Wednesday afternoon, April 3, and will last until about the middle of the month.
Information posters are available for both parts of the exhibition - the faculty and the exhibition in the Alfa arcade - and are attached in this email. We hope that this exhibition will be an interesting source of learning and inspiration for you and your readers.
