SMALL SCALE, BIG IMPAC - exhibition

In the heart of the Nová Zbrojovka campus - in the HEA(R)T building - an exhibition of student works is currently underway work of FA BUT under the motto SMALL SCALE, BIG IMPACT. The exhibition of the Dokoupilová-Falathová-Singer studio follows on from the public presentation that took place at the end of February in the premises of INDUSTRA. Every day from 13.00 - 20.00 until Thursday 15.6.2022!

Nová Zbrojovka, a new district, a new life on the site of a former brownfield. Planning and building a new neighborhood takes many years. And it will take a few more years. Meanwhile, the remains of the former brownfield are slowly being swallowed up by green vegetation. Urban wilderness. In what way is it possible to approach the design of the Svitava embankment in order to preserve and respect what nature has already largely taken as its own?

Student projects strategically enliven the Svitava embankment in direct connection with the emerging development. With sensitive small interventions, under the common slogan small scale, big impact, they support and make visible the valuable element of the river in the city. At the same time, he tries to preserve the natural wildness and project the irreplaceable genius of loci into the emerging public space as best as possible.

Student works were created in the winter semester 22/23 at the Faculty of Architecture of the BUT in Brno in the Dokoupilová-Falathová-Singer studio and were presented to the public in February .
