Open Call - gallery 45000 l: Volume for engaged architecture - results and opening

In July 2022, the first Open Call was announced for an exhibition project that will be implemented this fall in a 45,000 l showcase: Volume for engaged architecture. In September, an international jury consisting of Barbora Špičáková (ViPer), Matthias Moroder and Jerome Becker (Architektur im MAGAZIN), Jan Kristek and Karolína Plášková met and selected the winning concept of the Keep calm and discourse installation by the Dynamic Block collective from the nine submitted proposals.

The opening will take place on Tuesday 1/11/2022 at 18:00 in the passage by the showcase 45,000 l.

Dynamic block: Keep calm and discourse

27/10/2022-8/01/2023

The Dynamic Block collective follows the trend of Instagram accounts critically reflecting the current, not only architectural, scene. Through social media and the meme format, it satirically and aptly comments on a number of burning topics that architecture is dealing with today. In transition from the digital medium to the physical space, the topics will focus mainly on bringing the current (Brno) architectural scene closer and reflecting on the difficulties of the architect's profession to the wider non-expert public.

The exhibition takes place under the auspices of the mayor JUDr. Markéta Vaňková and with the financial support of the city of Brno and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
