We cordially invite you to the exhibition
Samples of projects and workshop results of the Institute's first cooperation
experiment of the Faculty of Architecture BUT and the Theater Faculty of the Janáček Academy
of performing arts in Brno.
During the three semesters of 2021 and 2022, students under
FA and DF JAMU pedagogic leaders participated in several joint workshops
critical discussions on studio topics as well as teaching subjects of a common focus
for example performing arts, design, production.
One ??of the starting points and inspiration of the project was the competition The
11th OISTAT Theater Architecture Competition when it was first to discuss
conditions and needs of theater operation so that students of architecture gain
a comprehensive view before the actual creation of proposals in the context of an architectural assignment
competitions. Students of the Institute of Experimental Creation FA BUT prepared the competition
designs as part of a studio assignment, three teams exhibited their projects between
The 15 best designs directly at the World Stage Design 2022 festival
in Calgary, the team of Karolína Gavroňová and Nina Olekšáková won the prestigious 3.
place.
The cooperation continues and we look forward to further presentations
plans for the passportization of theater spaces in the Czech Republic and creation of proposals
