Center for Oncology Prevention MOÚ through the eyes of FA BUT students

The future form of the Center MOÚ oncological prevention was portrayed by graduates of the Faculty of Architecture at BUT. A total of ten diploma theses will be exhibited in July and August The Yellow Hill Gallery. Patients and visitors will also see models of the buildings centers that illustrate the possible architectural solution planned construction.

"Within the premises of the former transfusion station in we are planning to build an Oncology Center on the adjacent Tomešová Street prevention and health services. The main goal is to increase capacity Institute for the implementation and development of all oncology prevention programs (primary, secondary and tertiary) and focus preventive care in a separate building with its own entrance, separated from the regular ones hospital operations. At the same time, we expect the new object to be a pleasant place where citizens of the city of Brno, the South Moravian region and possibly and from other parts of the country, they are happy to come for professional consultations regarding your lifestyle or for a preventive examination. Except Oncology prevention centers will also have a smaller inpatient unit on the premises department with a capacity for 21 irradiated patients," describes the plans development director of the MOÚ Marek Svoboda.

S with the aim of finding out the possibilities of using the premises of the former transfusion station, addressed the MOÚ Faculty of Architecture BUT, specifically Nicol Gale and Svatopluka Sládečka from the Institute of Experimental Creation. It was created under their leadership several inspirational theses. Subject exhibited it is possible to present the student creations with the help of models solution and location of the future Center for oncology prevention and health of MOÚ services.

“The proposal seeks to respond sensitively to the need to expand the MOU area. It not only finds ways to reach a wide audience the public, but also with its urban-architectural solution establish a connection between the adjacent city center and the hospital campus which is a dominant feature on the horizon of the Yellow Hill," describes the intention of one of exhibiting authors Magdalena Buzová. Architectural renderings of the new centers will be exhibited in the Žlutý kopec Gallery in the Švejd pavilion of the MOÚ until the end of August 2021. Due to restrictions on visits to the MOÚ, the exhibition is scheduled mainly for outpatients and hospitalized patients.
